A Historic Victory: Mid-Penn Capital Division Champions

Camp Hill made history Thursday night by completing a perfect 7-0 run to a Mid-Penn Capital Division title and the first ever outright division crown in program history.

“The boys on the team are sky-high excited,” coach Chad Gallaher said by phone. “That’s a huge accomplishment for Camp Hill and the kids. They’ve certainly worked really hard. They continue to work really hard, but we’re just on Cloud 9 to go 7-0 in that division with programs like Milton Hershey and Bishop McDevitt and Trinity. It’s great we were able to pull it off this year.”

District 3 Team Tournament Chances

Camp Hill entered Thursday night in possession of the eighth and final spot in the Class 2A tournament. The Lions still sit at No. 8 as of Friday morning and are idle through the district’s Saturday cutoff point.

It’s now a waiting game .“We’ll just sit and watch the results roll in,” Gallaher said. “It feels like watching election results. We can’t make any plans in our spot. if we make it in, it would be quite an honor and accomplishment. That’s an elite group of teams in 2A and 3A.“Every team that makes it in there is so proud to make it to that level, and we would be as well. We’re such a small school, it’s a battle for us little guys to put it all together. When you do, it’s really rewarding.”
