Early Years and the Start of Training

Davis's martial arts journey began at the age of 14 when he started training in boxing. He was undersized and faced bullying in 9th grade. He explained:

“I was about 5'1" and I got picked on every day for being so small... It sucked, so I took up boxing. Not to fight anyone, But so everyone knew I could fight and would leave me alone. AND IT WORKED.”

He spent a year boxing, learning from Kevin Rooney, who was taught by Cus D'Amato, the same man who trained Mike Tyson. Following boxing, Davis transitioned to wrestling, achieving a 21-3 record in his first year.

With confidence in both boxing and wrestling, he began training MMA at a local lodge, learning moves from online resources. Davis took his first fight at 16 and remarkably, it was for a title.
