Meet Head Coach Jake Williams

Owner/Head Coach Jake Williams brings his 20 years of experience and knowledge of the sport to Next Level Wrestling Club. As an athlete Jake Williams was a New Mexico State Champion and NHSCA Senior Nationals All- American for Rio Rancho High School. After high school Jake took his skills to the college level.

At Concordia University Nebraska he placed 8th at the NAIA National Tournament. After his freshman season he transferred to Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee. While at Cumberland he placed 6th as a sophomore. In his final 2 seasons at Cumberland he won back to back National Titles. He finished his college career with an overall record of 140 - 38.

Coaching Career

Right after his wrestling career ended he jumped right into the coaching ranks. His first 2 years were spent in Tennessee with Mt. Juliet High School and his Alma Mater Cumberland University While at Mt. Juliet High School he had a TNSAA State Placer. The following year he accepted the GA position at Cumberland University were they had 3 All-Americans that season. After his stint in Tennessee he accepted a coaching job at Brother Martin High School were they won Back to Back Louisiana State Championships. While at Brother Martin he coached 9 State Champions, 6 Finalists, and 11 State Placers.

Jake Williams' Coaching Accomplishments:

  1. TNSAA State Placer at Mt. Juliet High School
  2. 3 All-Americans at Cumberland University
  3. 9 State Champions at Brother Martin High School
  4. 6 Finalists at Brother Martin High School
  5. 11 State Placers at Brother Martin High School
