Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts discipline that uses elements of Judo, Wrestling, and ground fighting. If you are a smaller fighter it places special emphasis on a variety of techniques that can help defeat much larger opponents using a combination of grappling, choke holds, and joint locks.

The History of C-Quence Jiu-Jitsu

In January 2004, John Munoz opened the United Submission Academy (Known as C-Quence Jiu-Jitsu) in Norco, CA. John’s hard work and dedication have ensured the continual growth of the Academy, which now boasts a large student base. As the Chief Black Belt Instructor John Munoz strives for the improvement of all students.

John Munoz's Background

In 1993, John Munoz trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Larry Bebe, then later with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Pedro Carvalho in Monclair, CA. In late 1994, Pedro returned to Brazil, leaving Sixth Degree Black Belt Joe Moreira his studio. John later joined the Joe Moreira Competition Team as a white belt and competed from 1994-2001.

The Women's Program

Now is a good time to learn from the only female black belt instructor in the Inland Empire. This is your chance to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Self Defense from a female's point of view.

Claudia Munoz has been training for over 15 years. She is also one of the Women Black Belt Instructors in the Inland Empire and competes in high level tournaments such as Worlds, Panamas, & No-Gi Worlds; she has also competed in local tournaments as well.

Our women’s program is available for women of all ages; you’re never too old to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. You will get a great workout, good cardio, good sparring, and great tips on dieting and losing weight. Most importantly, you will leave with confidence, feeling good about yourself, and learn at your own pace in a great environment to workout.

  • Men & Women’s Fitness Classes: Tuesday’s & Thursday’s 5:50pm-6:35pm
  • Pewee’s Kids class now available ages 4yr.-6yr.
  • Private Classes: We also offer private classes for 3 year olds. These private classes will lay a solid foundation for their Jiu-Jitsu.
