Omari Jahi Palmer, known professionally as Odyssey Jones, is an American professional wrestler. He was born on May 17, 1994, in Coram, New York.

Currently, he is 31 years old and performs for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) under the ring name Oddyssey, where he is one-half of the World Tag Team Champions alongside Xyon as part of the HAVOC stable. He is also active on the Independent Circuit. He is best known for his time in WWE, where he performed under the ring name Odyssey Jones.

Early Life and Athletic Background

From an early age, Omari Palmer engaged in American football as a lineman.

  • He played at Longwood High School in Middle Island, New York.
  • He also participated in basketball, lacrosse, and amateur wrestling.

Following his college football career at Syracuse University, where he played as an offensive lineman, Palmer transitioned to professional wrestling through WWE's recruitment pipeline.

In 2012, Palmer attended Syracuse University, majoring in sociology. He played from 2012-2016.

Palmer was born in 1994 as one of two children to parents Steven and Janice Palmer. Palmer attended Longwood Senior High School in Middle Island, NY. While in school, he earned athletic honors in 2011.

WWE Career

Palmer signed a developmental contract with WWE in February 2019 and was assigned to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, for training under the company's coaching staff. His early in-ring work, beginning with non-televised matches in late 2019, tested basic power-based maneuvers under his real name before a later rebranding, allowing coaches to gauge audience reactions to his imposing presence without scripted narratives.

During February 2019, Palmer was announced as having signed with WWE and reported to the WWE Performance Center as part of the February class of recruits, including wrestlers Karen Q, Rachael Ellering, Albert Hardie Jr., Trevor Lee, Jeffrey "Jeff" Parker, Matt Lee, Sam Shaw, Nick Comoroto, Brendan Vink, Jermaine Haley and fellow former football player Ricardo Miller.

Palmer wrestled his first match during a November 7 live event, losing to Dexter Lumis. He won his first match the following year during a March 16 live event, defeating Mohamed Fahim.

He made his televised debut on the July 6, 2021 episode of WWE 205 Live under the ring name Odyssey Jones, winning a singles match over Grayson Waller.

Palmer returned to the ring in July 2021 under the new ring name of "Odyssey Jones", wrestling dark matches at WWE SmackDown tapings.On the July 6 episode of WWE 205 Live, he wrestled his first televised match, defeating Grayson Waller.

During the July 20 episode of NXT, Jones advanced in the first round of the Breakout Tournament after eliminating Andre Chase. During the August 24 episode of NXT, Jones was defeated in the final round of the tournament by Carmelo Hayes.

On the April 29, 2024 episode of Monday Night RAW as part of the 2024 WWE draft Jones was drafted to the RAW brand. He made his ring debut for the brand on the August 12, 2024 episode of Monday Night RAW where he faced Vincent Winey in a winning effort.

His final match for WWE was on the August 19, 2024 episode Monday Night RAW where he teamed with The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) and defeated The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam & Rezar).

Controversy and Release

In September 2024, after allegations of domestic abuse were made against him, Jones was abruptly removed from WWE television and subsequently fired by WWE.

In January 2025, Palmer stated that he was innocent, and that he had an injunction in place and was pursuing legal action against his accuser. In public statements, Palmer has criticized WWE for mishandling the matter by acting on allegations absent criminal charges or convictions, expressing willingness to return if cleared while decrying the career impact of unproven claims.

All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) Career

In August 2025, Oddyssey made his debut for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) as a participant in the Ōdō Tournament.

Oddyssey debuted for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) on August 3, 2025, at the Nettou Summer Action Wars event, teaming with Xyon Quinn and Shotaro Ashino in a loss to the Saito Brothers.

Upon debuting, he formed a stable, "HAVOC", with Shotaro Ashino and Xyon. He defeated Hideki Suzuki in the first round of the tournament but lost to Daisuke Sekimoto in the second round.

In September 2025 at AJPW's "Giant Dream" event, Oddyssey and Xyon defeated Baka No Jidai (Hideki Suzuki and Kengo Mashimo) in the Arena Tachikawa Tachihi for the AJPW World Tag Team Championship, making it the first title in Oddyssey's career.

Pairing with fellow ex-WWE talent Xyon Quinn as part of the Havoc stable, they captured the AJPW World Tag Team Championship on September 23, 2025, defeating Hideki Suzuki and Kengo Mashimo.
