The Beginning and Evolution
It began with an open lot where an R.V. Park was developed. The Sell-A-Rama Show started in 1978, marking the beginning of Tyson Wells' journey. Soon, Tyson Wells became world-renowned as a leading Rock & Gem Show in the United States.
Lloyd and Lavoun Dyer successfully managed the business until 1995, after which Lavoun’s son, Kym Scott, took over the reins.

- Tyson Wells Sell-A-Rama: Like the Rock & Gems Show, the Sell-A-Rama showcases the rock, gem, & mineral vendors and adds Art & Craft vendors also. The Sell-A-Rama show is in late January and also runs for 10 days. The Sell-A-Rama has over 850 vendor spaces which equals roughly 2.2 miles of aisle frontage. In 2026 this will be the 48th annual show.
