Jiu Jitsu For Dummies - An Introduction To Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: A Martial Art for Everyone

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport focusing on grappling and ground fighting. No prior experience is necessary. For your first class, you can wear comfortable athletic clothing. We only allow black and white gis. For visitors you may wear your own gi & a black or white Rashguard underneath so long as it does not have any patches from other academies.

We recommend that first time practitioners attend one of our "intro" classes which are split into two separate days.

Training frequency depends on your goals and schedule. We recommend beginners start with 2-3 classes per week.
