This article delves into a comprehensive review of a martial arts-themed boxnovel, examining its key elements and overall appeal.
Character Development
The main character is pretty well balanced between obvious potential for power, but also not immediately overpowered.
Also, interactions between characters is pretty good, with different characters having individuality.
Eryk's Journey
The development of Eryk as a main character shows the author's in-depth knowledge of the human psyche creating an engaging main character who’s just attempting to survive and make something out of himself.
He moves through the winding roads he’s placed on as a chess piece but he’s not incompetent he knows he’s being used and he accepts it bidding his time to influence the game in his own favor.

Plot and Pacing
I like the pacing of the novel, as the main character moves through the world at a believable pace, interacting with new environments as they come up.
It's a somewhat original twist on the genre, with the MC getting swept up into the army instead of setting off alone.
The life of Eryk and the people he meets shows the true fashion of this word where the squad started off with hundreds to only a measley 20 to 10 people showing how the world as if it was a guillotine waiting to unleash its wraith on a another poor soul creating an amazing story where risks are truly high which a journeyman who wants to survive and live life true to himself.
On one hand this is a remarkably good progression fantasy, on the other hand it's one we're viewing through a very unexcited lens.
We're always in the position of a neutral observer in the protagonist's head, who never really gets too excited about the events happening in front of it.

Eryk might be nearing death, and the story will sound he's mildly bored in a cubicle.
Yet the setting feels so real, and the power progression is so convincingly and textured that I completely forgive it for the sometimes off-mood tonality.
The protagonist is overpowered, but at risk from political and more physical targets.
The incredible texture of the setting in this power fantasy makes the power feel realer than it does in most.
World-Building
A roman legion got isekaied and created the empire in this setting, with Roman gods and ways still the norm.

Lots of little details, from the pounds cheese, the sausage, the paralysis arrows versus the poison one, the material of the clothing, the taste of the genocided elf city's wine.
I would high recommend to anyone due to how well written and complex the world building is while keeping the simple medieval life style prominent.
This piece of Literature truly creates a truly breathing living world in the making the author incorporates an engaging world where life and death are but a hair away.
Here's a list of novels with similar themes:
- "All-Attribute Martial Arts" by Don't Enter the World
- "Top Student's Black Technology System" by Chen Xing LL
- "Reward of 100 Million Lives at the Beginning of the Game" by Fourth in the Sky
- "I May Have Cultivated a False Immortal" by Frost on the Bright Moon
- "Becoming the Richest Man Begins from the Game" by Drunk in Green Shirt
Magic and Stats
The magic system seems fairly original too, and the stat updates aren't overdone after the initial power leveling/training montage.
Great soldiers life rpg with intrigue, excitement and just enough LitRPG stats to draw you in.
Deleting single enemies via storage is kind of messy.
Just "bottoming out" is merciful considering overdrawing in mana is very possible and costly.
Additional Recommendations
I'd recommend this. One of the best litrpg military books if not the best.
Great actors and remarkable hooks to keep you reading.
The audio book is also def worth the purchase 10/10.
If you haven't already this is a story to follow I look forward to where it's heading.
I've enjoyed this story.
I will be high anticipating the future chapters.
Complete Martial Arts Attributes - Episode 2: Chapters 76 to 150 - Audiobook
Is this a self-insert story? The author's name is Erick, and the protagonist is Eryk. Does he just imagine himself in the protagonist's boots, and write? That'd be an interesting approach to channelling out the story.
