The Arm Bar Soap Co. specializes in crafting high-level, all-natural, bacteria-fighting soaps, especially popular within the grappling community. Their products are designed to deliver a great clean and a nice scent while never over drying like most common soaps. The generously sized soap bars and liquid soap bottles have strong yet attractive aromas and last a long time.
I was sent four versions of their soap bar to test out. All the soap bars are opaque in colour and fairly dry to the touch when handled prior to using in the shower. Each measures 8cmx6cmx3cm and weighs 133grams (4.7oz). The bar itself produces a mild lather when washing and the essential oil ingredients (including tea tree oil, lemongrass, eucalyptus, peppermint) provide a strong, yet pleasant aroma.
Cocoa Batch Soap Bar Review
I have been washing with the Cocoa Batch soap bar for the past month - after every training session and for my morning showers, washing hands and face and just generally using it all the time and the bar still refuses to disintegrate. Unlike some other soap products, thankfully the Cocoa Batch does not contain the harsh poppy seed exfoliants. The photo above shows the status of the Cocoa Batch bar as of this morning.
As mentioned above, I have been using the bar for every major and minor wash and it simply refuses to die. It is remarkably resilient compared to other fighter soaps I have sampled and continues to function the same as if it was a brand new bar. I guess my only criticism with the soap bars in general is that the packaging does not include some form of portable box, carton or bag.
The Potion Review
The Potion is packaged in a small plastic squeeze bottle containing 8 fl oz of soap - by volume, that's slightly more than the soap bar. When pouring the soap onto your hands, the lotion has the consistency of very runny milk. The formula contains walnut powder as an exfoliant.

I must confess I did not enjoy using the Potion. It is designed for use within the shower and I like my shower gels to be much thicker and particle free. The Potion pours out very runny and applying it felt like I was putting liquid mayonnaise onto my skin.
The 50/50 Batch: A Unique Soap Bar Creation
A first of its kind, “The 50/50 Batch” is the end result of a project inspired by an accidental shower fusion of two of our other soap bars melting into one another.
The WHITE side of this bar is the “Body Bar” - a citrusy slab powered by a fresh-squeezed antifungal + antimicrobial 5-oil blend of Orange, Tea Tree, Cinnamon, Sandalwood, and Thuja (aka Northern White Cedar). This dynamic combo is backed up with a antioxidant-rich pour of African-sourced, Baobab Oil.
The BLACK side of this bar is the “Hair + Body Bar” - a midnight shade of vanilla cream-scented glycerine infused with our signature high-grade, fungus-fighting Australian Tea Tree Oil but with added hair benefitting ingredients like freshly-squeezed juices of Lime and Lemon - of which high levels of Vitamin-C help to promote hair growth while the citric acid within the juice can help to clear up potential fungal infections like Dandruff + Tinea Corporis. Gooseberry Extract was then injected into each bar for its natural ability to combat dandruff and condition the hair follicles.
NOTE: Each bar was painted lightly with water before sealing them in plastic to help them fuse together. However if you live in a cooler and/or dryer climate, they may come apart after opening. If so, press them together while showering and let them dry together after use to begin the fusion process.

Hawaiian Inspired Soap: The Lagoon-Blue Powerhouse
This translucent, lagoon-blue powerhouse was inspired by the clear Hawaiian waters we play in, the tropical rainfall we depend on, and the Jiu Jitsu mats we frequent. We tapped in The Arm Bar Soap Co., purveyors of high-level, all-natural bacteria-fighting soap, to craft this batch for us. Each and every bar comes infused with a supercharged, organic, bacteria-destroying blend of Australian Tea Tree Oil, Maui Lavender Oil, Laukahi Extract, and Sandalwood Oil.
This mixture is fortified with a heaping dose of hydrating ingredients sourced across the island chain - organic Kukui Nut Oil from O’ahu, Mangosteen Extract from the Big Island, and Honey from the island of Kaua’i. The vitamin-rich Kukui Nut Oil and Mangosteen work to strengthen the skin barrier with rich fatty acids and Xanthones while the Honey offers anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits; meanwhile all work congruently to soothe and relieve sun-damaged skin.
If that wasn’t enough, we then layered in a bountiful amount of Aloe Vera Butter + Avocado Oil for their high levels of Vitamin E and anti-oxidants.
